THE BLANKETS THAT BECAME LANDSCAPE by artist Eirini Linardaki, draws from the artist’s early fascination with the patterns of familiar blankets and fabrics that shaped memories of home and family life. This lifelong attachment to textiles led the artist to discover and collect fabrics from different cultures and communities around the world, which now form the layered compositions of her work. Inspired by sacred mountains and imagined landscapes, the installation transforms fabric into a terrain of memory, migration, and shared cultural presence in Newark.
